“Thinking over education for the welfare of the society and following the concept of globalised education, I have firmly decided to eradicate Illiteracy from urban, suburban and remote rural areas,” thus says S.P. Singh (Shiv Pal Singh), Former MLC and Founder Manager, Lucknow Public Schools and Colleges.

Born in a reputed farmer family at a far-flung village Sadarpur of Hardoi District, S.P. Singh did his schooling from a village Parishadiya Primary Pathshala and Pandit Nehru Inter College, Sadarpur, Hardoi. Having scientific temper from his childhood, he did M.Sc. in Botany and for cherishing his interest in teaching he earned L.T. as well.

His love for education brought him in the periphery of teaching and so he began his career as a private school teacher but his broad vision for spreading quality education made him utilize his synergy which resulted into establishment of Lucknow Public School at Anand Nagar, Lucknow in 1983 creating a major educational hub in the city of Lucknow. L P S was founded with an objective of spreading the light of literacy of imparting quality education to young minds to help them grow into a complete person. The Institution believes in giving value based education to the children along with cognitive excellence. School also lays great emphasis on physical and socio-emotional development and organizes numerous events and activities to inculcate all the necessary skills for the complete personality development of each child.

Now ten branches of LPS are in his credit, 7 in different areas of Lucknow city and 3 in different districts, Hardoi his home district, Lakhimpur and Sitapur. Besides these, Lucknow Public College of Professional Studies, a degree college affiliated to University of Lucknow is steered by him. Students passed out from his institution are working across the globe.

In order to do a passionate advocacy of quality education, S.P. Singh contested from Lucknow Graduate Constituency and won the seat twice – once in 2002 and secondly in 2008. His wife, Kanti Singh is standing MLC from the same seat. Having visited so many countries, S.P. Singh is taking up the task of providing quality education and social responsibilities responding to the nation’s call for help during any kind of natural calamity.

Pursuing his interests in reading, music, social work, games, symposiums, seminars and kavi sammelan, S.P. Singh organizes various events and seminars for human enrichment.

His futuristic vision is to provide quality education with ultra modern globally acknowledged techniques in order to harness the children for the coming times.
